Happy December everyone! Can you believe 2025 is over? We hope you all have a restful Summer break. 

This year was filled with many fantastic events, experiences and learning!  It was a great year to share about Google’s Gemini products.  So many updates!  So many resources to share.  

Here are some of our 2025 highlights:

Celebrating a Successful 2025

We redesigned our Newsletter!

In order to share more broadly about how to use technology in your classroom, we had some fun with the design of our monthly newsletter.

• We share Youtube shorts that we created for a quick tip
• Learn more about the events that we are running free-of-charge for Google for Education
• Keep up to date with the latest updates and announcements from ed tech companies. 
• Subscribe to learn more.

Gemini Masterclasses in Sydney, Melbourne and 3 successful online cohorts!

• These events were designed to fit your packed schedules. In-person or online. Synchronous and Asynchronous!
• Gemini was a hot topic this year.  With all the new releases it was hard to keep up with all the new changes and features. You don’t have to because we do it for you. 
• During the events, we took a deep dive into Gemini, Gems, NotebookLM, Deep Research and of course Nano Banana!

Google Certified Educator Courses in Sydney, Melbourne, and online Cohorts!

In addition to our successful asynchronous courses, we worked with Google in 2025 to offer in-person and 4 week online courses on how to become a Google Certified Educator – Level 1 or Level 2

• Designed to fit everyone’s schedule, we created one day in person workshops that explored fundamental and advanced use of Google for Education tools.
• Attendees successfully took the Google Certified Educator Exam 
• We have redesigned the courses with the launch of the new Exam in December 2025.

Working with ACT educators to teach them all about Gemini, NotebookLM and more

• In Term 4, the ACT DET gave access to Gemini to all of their teachers. 
• We were there to help support that launch with a series of webinars and a Google Classroom to keep it all in one place. 
• We look forward to continuing with this exciting work in Term 1!

We designed and facilitated The Google Champions Symposium in Singapore in August

• Where else can you get together with 100 educators from 12 countries? At a Google Champions Symposium, of course!  
• It was an awe inspiring 3 days together with some of APACs most impactful Google using educators gathered in one place sharing ideas and best practices. 

Deploy Learning’s Google Summits!

• We ran 5 Summits in Canberra, Sydney, Adelaide, Auckland and Melbourne for over 450 educators!
• The feedback from the events was outstanding! The learning experience ratings were very high across all summits, with the majority of responses sitting at 4 out of 4.
• A huge thank you to all who attended the events this year! 
• Thank you to our incredible keynotes: Suan Yeo (Canberra / Adelaide), Monica Isabel Martinez (Sydney), Eric Curts (Auckland), and Jeff Heil (Melbourne).

Leading the Teaching Theatre at EduTech in Sydney

• We worked with Google again in 2025 to create a workshop schedule that brought thousands of Edutech attendees into Google’s Teaching Theatre space.  
• A jam packed 2 days full of learning, new ideas, tips and engaging workshops. 
• We supported sessions from over 20 different presenters on all things Gemini and Google Workspace! 
• We created a Chromebook experience station where attendees could try out the skills they learned in the theatre.
• The feedback was overwhelmingly positive and the theatre was busy with excited educators throughout the 2 days!

We supported the 1st Official Reference Schools Summit in Singapore

• In November, we supported Google’s Global Impact team to facilitate the first official  Reference School Summit
• The event featured 55 educational leaders from 8 Countries and 31 Schools!
• During the two days participants learnt all about the program updates, Gemini updates, Class Tools and more. The community connections and school visit to St. Joseph’s Institution International School was a highlight.

We already have so many wonderful opportunities in the works for next year.  We can’t wait to announce some of our favourite opportunities.  Have a wonderful 2026 and we look forward to connecting and working with you in the new year.
