Google for Parents Course

Deploy Learning recognises the need that parents have for supporting their children with the use of technology for learning. We have spent the last 12 years helping teachers and schools with how to best use Google Workspace tools to support teaching and learning. Now, we are offering that same level of support to parents. This fully customisable and supported online course is for parents hoping to learn more about how to use the same Google Workspace tools that their child’s school has adopted.

Google Classroom and Drive

In this one week online course, parents use Google Classroom to learn the basics of Google Drive and Drive Apps like Docs and Slides. The class will feature one recorded webinar on how the school uses these applications and how parents can support their child. This class also features an opportunity to work with the instructor on more specific questions or needs during the office hour.

Google Workspace in the Classroom

This two week online course uses Google Classroom to guide parents not only on how to use the tools within Google Drive, but also the productivity applications like Calendar and Google Meet. Parents will also learn tips on using the Chrome browser and Chromebooks (if applicable) to support their child’s digital literacy and learning.

Google for Education

This three week course uses Google Classroom to introduce parents to the full suite of Google tools to support their child’s digital learning. In addition to the material covered in the other courses, parents will learn to use Creativity tools like Youtube, Maps, & Google Sites to help their children learn to create materials for projects and much more.

Prices are dependent on the length of the course and the number of parents enrolled.
